D. Barker reported a balance of $442.20.

 

Debra Loudd, Nominations Chair, reported:
All positions have nominees as follows:    

  • President-Elect- Gillian Stubblefield
  • First VP-Elect- Jeff Swindle
  • Second VP-Elect- Michelle Vielma
  • Third VP-Elect-Shari Nelson
  • Fourth VP-Elect- Gladys Leake
  • Fifth VP-Elect- Gladys Leake
  • Secretary-Elect- Debra Loudd
  • Treasurer-Elect- DeeDee Barker

C. Soto reported we don’t have the latest numbers of tickets sold. She encouraged parents to donate baskets/prizes for Prom.

 

C. Soto reported there will be a Car Wash to fundraise for prom on Saturday, 4/4 near Sonic at Garland Avenue and N. George Bush Frwy.  The donations will be $5/car.

 

Amanda ? spoke on Alcohol Awareness.  The Gordie Foundation informs people about the dangers of alcohol abuse.

 

Dr. Edney was not present.  Leann Munkries, Senior Academic Advisor, reported the following:

  • Graduation for students with last names beginning with A-L will be on Friday, 5/8/09 from 7-9pm
  • Graduation for students with last names beginning with M-Z will be on Friday, 5/9/09 from 7-9pm.
  • There will be a ceremony for graduates and their parents at the Atrium in Garland on 6/4 at 7pm.
  • Senior meetings are held on the 1st Friday of the month.
  • Junior meetings are held on the 3rd Friday of the month.
